• The Academic and Core Applications department supports the entire university community by providng core services to users and other enterprise systems. The department is comprised of the Database support group, the Learning Management Support Team, Application Technical Support, Core Applications including the Campus Pipeline Portal and the central University web server and all messaging and directory services including WayneConnect email, Broadcast Messaging and single sign-on capabilities. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.
  • Leads and directs department toward the overall mission of providing and applying the most advanced technology available to the universities core function of teaching and learning.
  • Lead and direct department support and development activities, including responsibility for working with campus stakeholders to ensure maximum usage of the centrally provided academic and core applications.
  • Lead and direct the implementation of technology initiatives and projects including new service launches and upgrades of existing services. Ensure that these activities support departmental, divisional, and University strategic goals including Graduate and Undergraduate Enrollment .

  • Promote and maintain a centralized system for tracking IT service requests across the enterprise. Developed and conducted training programs and presentations and provided subject-matter expertise in Remedy ARS and CallTracker a custom built PHP based web interface to the ARS system. • Remote Access Coordinator, Senior Business Systems Analyst
  • Coordinated operational and support resources for the WSU Dial-in service. Collaborated with C&IT senior management, campus technical staff and Merit Networks, Inc to provide reliable remote access service. Successfuls projects includes expansion primary modem pool to over 700 modems and creation of new service in Windsor, Ontario Canada. Developed, managed, directed and maintained the C&IT Internet Toolkit CD-ROM, a collection of Internet software available for use by all WSU students, faculty and staff.
